History

In January 2006 the founder, Ken Kaufman, of CFOwise® resigned from his position as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a large and very well-respected company to create this firm. His motivation – to help start-up, emerging, and medium-sized companies increase their cash flow and profitability the same way he had helped his previous employer.

The business model was relatively simple, but resonated with the target market – take a senior-level executive, which was himself, and divide his time up between several companies at the same time. He could earn an executive wage while delivering his services in an affordable and high-impact manner to companies that would normally lack the budget to hire him full-time.

From those humble beginnings CFOwise® has grown into a professional firm serving entrepreneurs and companies around the world. During this growth, CFOwise® has learned a lot about the common problems and challenges that CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business owners face. In 2010, the company launched the IMPACT products, comprising The Six Scoreboards Every Business Needs™. Although these scoreboards consist of a standardized set of offerings, they are also tailored to the size, uniqueness, and needs of each customer.
